Brilliant top on and off the bike. Feels and looks great. One bit of advice re. maintenance, after using merino fabrics for years there is not one out there that will not shrink, hence NEVER wash at 30 degrees. If a little long as I found this model to be and room to allow a little shrinkage, first wash at 20 degrees on a wool protect setting and thereafter ALWAYS with cold water. This will more or less settle the fabric and the size will remain constant (until you or your partner forget these instructions and it ends up in a 30 degree wash by mistake at which point it needs to be handed down to someone smaller than you, and time to buy another)!
Well cut. Very light and comfortable. Smart. Highly recommended.
Love merino and in the sale was a great price, a nice casual cycling top for gravel or touring!
This is my second pair of these shorts, my original pair are about 5 years old, still looking good. Could not believe my new shorts were the same design and fit. Love them.
Love the quality and style of these. The rear pocket and comfort of the merino fabric makes them ideal for those casual cycling journeys.
Great shirts good feel and fit
I own both these and the Opus jeans, and while very happy to have both I thought a comparison might be helpful (I was undecided initially and would have welcomed one). The cut leans a little more towards nineties than noughties, but still trim enough for cycling, while colour and fabric have a more casual feel - a nice dark blue raw denim with a gently rugged appearance (though soft feel) that's aging nicely a year on in. They're primarily my relaxed-weekend-around-town cycling jeans, leaving the more technical and smarter Opus for the head-down commute and day in the office. In conclusion, a more traditional pair of jeans designed for cycling, which work well and look good on and off the bike. Recommended.
The fit and fabric is such that you're not aware of wearing jeans when cycling (aside from when the temperature nudges well into shorts-wearing territory of course!) - they allow movement without any noticeable hindrance. Off the bike, the colour and cut is such that, paired with a smart shirt, they're perfectly suitable for work (well, my working environment anyway - you can make your own call on that one). A year on, and I've just bought a second pair, but only because I like them so much - they're not remotely showing signs of fatigue yet. Recommended.
Good service Great feel and quality
I'm likely a large but I buy XL as these do eventually shrink slightly
Vulpine merino T shirts are now my go to in winter and summer. Natural, versatile, good quality.
Once you've tried merino there's no going back.
Great shirt for riding in temperatures between 14 and 30 degrees centigrade.
The longer cut at the back is perfect for preventing sensitive areas from cooling down. This is despite the fact that my back is longer than usual for my height.
Smart details, good fitting and size, tough material.
Only the inner pocket ist too small for modern smartphones.
Slim fit but broader at shoulder. Very light jacket
