We’ve picked out four outfits to see you through cycling in the unpredictable Autumn. From urban commuter cycling straight through to road cycling, we’ve got you covered this season… whatever the weather.

Men’s Autumn Urban OutfitMen's ORJORIGINAL RAIN JACKET

Crisply cut and constructed from Epic Cotton, the Original Rain Jacket is a breathable, tough and highly water resistant jacket. On the outside, its casual appearance almost hides its clever cycling specific features. Reflectivity is positioned on the shoulders for oncoming traffic and on the cuffs (which can be turned over when not needed) along with the removable splash guard which can easily be stowed away in the magnetic pockets. The low profile style of the Original means you’ll have a jacket that not only looks stylish – it’ll also adapt to cycling within seconds. For the autumn season and beyond, it’s a cycling wardrobe staple.

We love adapting classic cuts to work on and off the bike, and with the Button Down Oxford shirt, you get the best of both worlds. An elegant soft cotton shirt that you can cycle in, the Button Down is combined with a little lycra to give the perfect on-bike fit. Cycling features are neatly and stylishly hidden in this long sleeve shirt – you’ll find pleated shoulders designed for a much better fit when over the bars, and articulated elbows are another neat little detail too. For smart urban pedalling against the elements, the Button Down Oxford shirt is a wonderful autumn companion.

With a focus on durability, style and comfort, the Jinzu Raw Selvedge is a Jean built to work and last. The design of these is a classic no-fuss cut, made from 12oz Japanese denim. A straight leg jean with a diamond gusset, there are no uncomfortable seams to sit on while cycling, which is perfect for commuting. You can also make these uniquely yours: raw selvedge denim is unwashed, which means you can let the indigo slowly fade as you wear and ride in them, or stick them in the bath to wash it away. Stylishly taking on the season with denim is possible with these hardwearing jeans.

It’s that in-between time with the weather at the moment (sometimes wet, sometimes cold and or windy), so our Waterproof Utility is an ideal jacket for the season. With its clever side vents and made from fully waterproof fabric, you’ll be covered should you get caught in a downpour, or milder temperatures. Features such as the removable hood and rear storm guard can be taken off and tucked away when not needed, making the Utility Jacket a versatile option for the Autumn.

The benefit of pure merino wool is that it performs right across the scale. Naturally temperature regulating, our Long Sleeve Merino T-Shirt is excellent worn underneath the Waterproof Utility Jacket. Beautifully soft and odour resistant, you can wear this across the seasons, to keep you warm on cooler days and wick away the sweat on milder ones. From the commute to work through to post work drinks, it’s cut just right for cycling and life.

Breathable and water resistant, we made our Women’s Cotton Rain Trousers for weather like this… and whatever else the elements may throw at them. The classic cut of these is adapted for cycling, meaning they are at home both on and off the bike. Combine this with Epic Cotton, and you have a trouser (with stretch) smart enough for the office and everyday life.

For those longer autumnal rides, the Randa Softshell is a jacket you can rely on for hours, whilst battling the unpredictable elements. The two large angled underarm vents provide breathability, which removes any moist air if you’re really pushing it on the bike. There is also the benefit of the Randa being wind and rain resistant, for any tricky changes in the weather. Storage is covered with the two large and easy access rear pockets and a waterproof zipped one for your valuables. The Randa’s beautifully designed classic lines disguise its practicality, making this a high-spec hardworking jacket to see you through the season.

When paired with the Randa Softshell, this lightweight Baselayer is a perfect road cycling combination. It will help regulate your temperature on the bike, removing moisture from your body fast as your ride. Unfussy in design, our Short Sleeve Baselayer is designed to be worn flush against your skin – there are no scratchy labels, so it will keep you comfortable. Itch and odour free, it’s a layering essential that will serve you well in October and beyond.

We’ve looked at every detail and made the Roubaix Bib Tights perfect for long cool weather jaunts in the autumn, straight through to the winter season. The thermal Roubaix fabric is cosy enough to insulate you from frosty morning starts, or long rainy mountainous descents. Comfort is key with these Bibs, which include a pro-level long distance CyTech pad, and no foot loops and irritating zips. Fantastically detailed, expect the Roubiax to see you through the season in uncomplicated comfort and style.

The plushness of the Roubaix is fantastic for the autumn. It’s a soft long sleeve thermal jersey, which can be worn on its own as an alternative to a heavier jacket in this interchanging weather. Close fitting, flexible and with flattened seams, it’s ideal for longer rides in comfort. Storage isn’t forgotten about with this either – there are three rear pockets for carrying snacks and tools, along with a zipped valuables pocket for extra security.

Women's Aerial TeeAERIAL T-SHIRT

Teamed with the Long Sleeve Roubaix Jersey, the Aerial T-Shirt not only looks great, but will perform brilliantly in the seasonal weather. Cut specifically for women, and long at the back for cycling, the Aerial is a casual racing tee that performs fantastically while riding. The soft cotton composition will provide comfort, as well as combat odours due to the treatment of the material. This smart crew neck tee is fast drying, so will continue to look great off the bike too.

Women's Trail TrouserTrail Trousers

Another trouser designed to handle whatever Mother Nature wants to throw at them, these trousers are cut for cycling, and made from 4-way Ripstop fabric, which is also a high-stretch material. With a diamond gusset, superb levels of comfort are guaranteed on longer rides. High in cycling features, but with low profile in design, these are a smart yet tough choice of trouser to see you through cycling this season.

    1. Hi Rob,

Velorution on Great Portland Street are one of our stockists. We’ll also be adding a stockist map to the website very soon. If you have more questions please email and we’d be happy to help you further.

  1. Do you guys make any kind of neckwarmer/snood-style arrangement? I find them one of the most invaluable items at chillier times of year but find it a bit odd that Vulpine doesn’t make one yet?
