Kayti is a professional fashion photographer who works internationally and is based in the UK. She has an extensive portfolio ranging from commercial work with large publications to some rather beautiful cycling photography… and she’s also the studio photographer for Vulpine.

We love photography at Vulpine. It’s one of the most powerful forms of communication in the world, and can stir a message, memory or emotion across like no other medium. Sometimes in life you come across an artist in this who really nails it. We were very lucky to find such a photographer in Kayti Peschke (who’s also married to world-class framebuilder and BMX stunt nutter Ricky Feather) and we and Vulpine get to work with her.

Photography has been in Kayti’s blood, since being encourged to persue it by her father. She studied fashion photography in Leeds. After completing there, she became a photographic assistant. She built up an impressive portfolio while working with a variety of photographers – and then took the leap and went freelance. Kayti’s individual style sets her apart from other fashion photographers. It’s a talent that has taken Kayti around the world. With a client list that includes heavyweights like Vice Magazine, Mixmag, and Billionaire Boys Club, it’s fair to say that Peschke is a class act.

Her link to cycling came about when she moved back up North and met Ricky Feather. They both moved to York together, adopted a Whippet (we do like a happy dog story!), and got married in 2011. When Ricky started Feather Cycles, Kayti became involved and started doing cycling photography (you can see Kayti’s work on the Feather Cycles website) a union that we at Vulpine are so pleased happened. Her unique style and eye for the clean beauty of bicycles has seen her become the official photographer for Bespoked Bristol.

When Ricky built the bespoke Vulpine Feather for Nick, Kayti did the shots of the bicycle. The light, vivid colours and detailing of the shots are truly beautiful. It’s already a gorgeous bike, but the photos managed to bring it to life even more..

Last October saw the publication of Kayti’s first book ‘Made In England‘, co-authored by Ricky Feather and Matthew Sowter of Saffron Frameworks. Kayti and Ricky both shared the same idea about doing a book showcasing some of the country’s best artisan frame buildersand then when they were approached by Matthew to do it, the book was born.

The result of their collaboration is a big and beautiful book on the often unseen side of cycling. It’s an intimate insight, via interviews with each frame builder. Kayti’s stunning photography shows the passion, craftsmanship, techniques and skill that goes into building the highest quality British bespoke frames.

The combination of her talent in fashion photography, the lively and creative nature of Vulpine and cycling… Kayti just gets it. We admire her drive, focus and determination. We love what she brings to The New Cycling world.

Oh, and her cupcakes rock.
