Back in December, RUTH BROOKER and I went on a ride. It was about 2c, dark, and the snow was still lingering. It was great! We rode the olympic road race route up Box Hill, boxhill.

We pottered about here. Rode hard there. Did some repeat climbs of Crocknorth (arrrgghhhh!) and Box Hill (phew, that’s better) to get some decent photos in the half light.

I wanted to show Ruth, and therefore Cycling Plus readers, a classic route that so many Londoners and my club KINGSTON WHEELERS, take many times a day, especially weekends.

It’s a great route to test you once you’re more experienced on a bike, and can certainly be completed quicker than the five hours it took us, what with all the chatting and snapping!
Enjoy.
