Sizing is based on an average height, fairly athletic build, but not super skinny. You will find our fit closer to your work and leisure wardrobe than your skintight lycra kit. Nothing is so large that it is going to incur excessive wind resistance on the bike, but, is sufficiently loose enough to be worn casually off the bike. Ergonomically structured and tested to suit a cycling position, think ‘tailored athletic’.
Vulpine women’s garments are cut specifically for women’s shape; accounting for bust, waist and hips, slightly shorter in sleeve lengths, narrower in shoulders and tapered in leg widths.
Jackets are sized to go over two lightweight layers like a top and a jumper. If you will be wearing heavy layers underneath, we recommend you size up one size on your normal.
Our Ultralight Thermal range is cut for extra room with warm layers in extreme cold. Therefore if you prefer a more aero slim cut with thin layers underneath please drop a size.
Merino jerseys and t-shirts can be worn a size smaller than your usual for a skintight fit. Our merino is woven with plenty of comfortable stretch.
Jackets and merino tops are cut longer at the back to be comfortable on the bike.
Don't forget you can try our garments for size and return them to us if in perfect condition (it's ok to open the package though!).
Vulpine’s Size Guides are of body measurements only, not garment measurements. We do the work here to ensure that Vulpine clothes are cut with the right amount of room to fit the measurements on the guide. We encourage you to measure yourself before choosing what size to buy, as sizes between brands can vary wildly. For measurements please refer to the size guides on the product pages, these can be found under the 'Sizing' tab.
HOW TO MEASURE YOURSELF
Waist: Measure around your natural waistline, mid way between belly button and bottom of your rib cage. Keep the tape comfortably loose, level and breath out.
Inside leg: Measure from the top of your inside leg at crotch point, down to your anklebone. You may need someone to hold the tape at your anklebone.
Chest: Measure around the fullest part of your chest, keep the tape level, under your arms and breath naturally. Don’t tense!.
