Our garments are not skin tight. The fit will be closer to your work and leisure wardrobe than tight lycra gear. Our sizing is based on an average, fairly athletic build, not super-skinny. They are designed to be close fitting to reduce wind resistance whilst cycling, but sufficiently loose to be worn casualy off the bike. Ergonomically designed and tested to suit a cycling position and active lifestyle. Think ‘tailored athletic’.
Jackets are sized to go over two lightweight layers like a top and a jumper. If you will be wearing heavy layers underneath, we recommend you size up one size on your normal.
Our Ultralight Thermal range is cut for extra room with warm layers in extreme cold. Therefore if you prefer a more aero slim cut with thin layers underneath please drop a size.
Merino jerseys and t-shirts can be worn a size smaller than your usual for a skintight fit. Our merino is woven with plenty of comfortable stretch.
Jackets and merino tops are cut longer at the back to be comfortable on the bike.
Don't forget you can try our garments for size and return them to us if in perfect condition (it's ok to open the package though!).
Vulpine's garments for women are designed for women. They are cut to an entirely seperate pattern to the men's; wider at the hips and chest, proportional to waist, shorter on the arms and slimmer at the shoulders.
Women's trousers and shorts accomodate a slimmer waist, and wider hips. Trousers have a slimmer, tapered leg
Vulpine’s Size Guides are of body measurements only, not garment measurements. We do the work here to ensure that Vulpine clothes are cut with the right amount of room to fit the measurements on the guide. We encourage you to measure yourself before choosing what size to buy, as sizes between brands can vary wildly. For measurements please refer to the size guides on the product pages, these can be found under the 'Sizing' tab.
HOW TO MEASURE YOURSELF
Measure around your natural waistline, mid way between belly button and bottom of your rib cage. Keep the tape comfortably loose, level and breath out.
Measure from the top of your inside leg at crotch point, down to your anklebone. You may need someone to hold the tape at your anklebone.
Measure around the fullest part of your chest, keep the tape level, under your arms and breath naturally. Don’t tense!.
